Meet The Wiredu Family of Laurel, Maryland

Joni, Ed, and their daughter Evelyn Wiredu (pronounced RAY-DO) have lived happily in the Mayfair community of Laurel, MD for over five years. Joni and Ed say they decided to return to Laurel after living for several years in Manchester, NH. The key to their home search in Maryland was finding a quality school for their daughter first, and then finding a great home within that school district second. Living in the Mayfair community allowed Evelyn to attend Bond Mill Elementary School – what the Wiredu’s call “a true gem” among elementary schools in Prince George’s County.

“This is a great place to live and play . . . we’ve got the new Laurel Town Centre for shopping and eating out or going to the movies. You can take advantage of all the family-friendly activities that will keep you busy and entertained! You’ll love having easy access to several major highways so driving to Baltimore and DC is a breeze. “One Friday evening, it seemed like all the neighbors arrived home from work at the same time. Instead of retreating inside our houses, we all just ended up sitting outside, ordering pizzas, and talking for hours. The kids hung out and played while the adults exhaled, laughed, and relaxed together. It was a great night that brought us all a little closer and we had a great time!”
